What’s involved in achieving Zero Liquid Discharge (ZLD)?

ZLD (Zero Liquid Discharge) systems recover nearly all water from industrial wastewater, producing reusable distillate and a concentrated residue. This is accomplished through vacuum evaporation, crystallization, advanced filtration, and sometimes membrane pre-treatment to maximize recovery and reduce environmental impact.

PRAB Highlight:
PRAB’s Evaled® vacuum evaporators help meet ZLD goals by efficiently concentrating wastewater and producing high-purity distillate. These units are ideal for industries with high-strength waste streams, including plating, aerospace, and battery recycling.
