Test Before You Buy — FREE Fluid Testing for Water Reuse and Industrial Wastewater Treatment

Prove the performance of the fluid treatment before you invest. PRAB’s FREE Fluid Testing Program* evaluates your actual process fluids, coolants, and wastewater in our lab to validate treatment results, equipment suitability, and compliance outcomes—before capital is committed.

The PRAB Fluid Testing program ensures data-driven evidence to support your purchase

This program is specifically designed to test fluid treatment performance, not metal chip processing behavior.

Why Fluid Testing Matters

Fluid composition varies dramatically between plants, machines, and processes. Emulsions, tramp oils, surfactants, detergents, dissolved metals, and additives all affect treatment results.

Our fluid testing eliminates uncertainty by showing how your specific fluids respond to PRAB’s filtration, separation, and treatment technologies—before you buy.

What This Fluid Testing Program Focuses On

Unlike materials testing (which evaluates metal chips, swarf, and coolant separation from solids), the fluid testing program targets liquid-phase treatment performance for:

  • Coolant recycling and tramp-oil separation
  • Process-water reuse
  • Industrial wastewater treatment and discharge compliance
  • Oily-water separation and solids removal

We evaluate your actual fluids using PRAB equipment platforms such as:

What You ReceivePRAB FREE Fluid Testing Program | Process Water and Industrial Wastewater Treatment Systems

Your fluids are processed under controlled, real-world conditions to generate measured, documented performance data, including:

  • Oil-water separation efficiency
  • Solids removal performance
  • Filtration clarity and turbidity reduction
  • Chemical consumption requirements
  • Permeate and concentrate quality
  • Expected throughput and operating parameters

These results help engineers, environmental managers, and CFOs:

  • Validate treatment feasibility
  • Select the correct system type and size
  • Quantify operating costs and lifecycle economics
  • Support discharge compliance or reuse objectives
  • Build accurate ROI and payback models

How This Differs from Materials Testing

PRAB offers two distinct “Test Before You Buy” programs:

Materials Testing

• Evaluates metal chips, swarf, and entrained coolant
• Focuses on chip processing, moisture reduction, briquetting, and coolant recovery from solids
• Produces results like residual moisture, volume reduction, and briquette density

Fluid Testing (this program)

• Evaluates liquid-phase fluids, coolants, and wastewater
• Focuses on filtration, separation, treatment quality, and compliance performance
• Produces results like oil separation efficiency, turbidity reduction, and permeate quality

This program is solely for fluid treatment validation, not solid-material processing.

Fluid Testing Program Value

This fluid-centric testing allows you to:

  • Prove that your fluids can be recycled, reused, or treated to environmantal compliance
  • Avoid undersized or overengineered systems
  • Reduce chemical consumption and operating costs
  • De-risk capital investment decisions
  • Accelerate project approval with verified performance data

By focusing on how liquids behave in filtration and treatment systems, this program provides precise, application-specific data that directly informs equipment selection and compliance strategy.

*Standard Testing Is Free — Certain Specialized Tests Require Quotation

PRAB’s Test Before You Buy program includes FREE standard materials testing and FREE standard fluid testing using PRAB-owned laboratory equipment and established test protocols.

However, some specialized evaluations require paid engagement. These include:

  • Destructive testingof equipment or components
  • Third-party laboratory analysis(e.g., regulatory, chemical, or compliance testing)
  • Evaluated system testingusing full-scale or production-representative equipment
  • Non-standard test protocolsor extended testing beyond standard lab procedures

In these cases, PRAB will always provide a formal quotation for approval before any materials or fluids are shipped to our facility.

No testing proceeds without written authorization.
