PRAB’s Automated pH Adjustment Systems deliver two outcomes: regulatory discharge compliance and cost-reducing water reuse. Each system continuously monitors and adjusts effluent to maintain the 6.0-9.0 pH range required by EPA and POTW regulations, while automated chemical dosing minimizes reagent consumption and generates auditable compliance records.
When integrated with PRAB’s Process Water Treatment Solutions, pH-adjusted effluent can be reclaimed as process water, closing the loop on water management costs. PRAB offers continuous systems for flow rates above 10 GPM and batch systems for lower-flow or variable-discharge operations, both engineered and tested to meet site-specific permit requirements.

Two-Stage Pre-FiltrationMesh screen and automatic continuous-band filtering protect sensors and pumps, reduce maintenance frequency, and extend equipment life. |
Precision Chemical DosingAutomated acid and caustic monitoring with controlled injection based on live pH feedback prevents overfeeding and minimizes chemical spend. |
Stainless Steel ConstructionIndustrial-grade tank with optional coatings for expanded chemical compatibility and long service life in harsh environments. |
Fully Automated OperationAutomatic fluid transfer and batch discharge based on tank level and verified pH. Minimal operator intervention. |
Skid-Mounted & Factory TestedPre-assembled for faster installation with reduced field wiring and commissioning time. |
Compliance DocumentationAutomated data logging of pH, volume, and time/date per batch. Email reporting and fault notifications included. |
WHY BATCH PROCESSING MATTERS: Full reaction time before every discharge. Every batch is verified before drain or recirculation — less chemical waste, less freshwater draw, water reuse ready.
Four standard skid-mounted pH treatment systems — rapid fill and rapid discharge. 8,000 to 39,000 GPD. Custom chemistries available.
| Model | 24-Hr. Daily Flow | Max Fill Rate (GPM) | Tank Capacity (Gal.) | Dimensions (L × W × H) |
| pH 400 | 8,000 gal. | 95 GPM | 400 gal. | 90 × 73 × 99 in. |
| pH 800 | 15,000 gal. | 132 GPM | 800 gal. | 120 × 68 × 99 in. |
| pH 1200 | 23,000 gal. | 132 GPM | 1,200 gal. | 169 × 78 × 135 in. |
| pH 2000 | 39,000 gal. | 264 GPM | 2,000 gal. | 174 × 92 × 158 in. |
PRAB batch pH neutralization systems treat acidic or alkaline water streams for two outcomes: compliant discharge and direct return to your manufacturing process. Unlike continuous-flow systems that rely on aggressive dosing, PRAB’s batch design delivers uniform, fully verified water quality — so treated water is ready for drain or recirculation every cycle.

PRAB Builds Equipment for the Toughest Jobs in Manufacturing and Metalworking
Manufacturers continue to invest heavily in automation, machining technology, and process optimization. But as labor availability tightens and operating costs become more volatile, many plants are finding that automation alone is insufficient. This is where the “Closed-loop factory” strategy becomes important. The limiting factor is rarely the machine tool; it is the supporting infrastructure. A growing number of manufacturers are […]
