FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

KALAMAZOO, Mich. — KMC Global, a family-owned group of industrial manufacturing companies serving customers throughout North America and international markets, has named Clark Thompson chief executive officer effective Nov. 1, 2026. Thompson had served as Executive Vice President and is a member of the KMC Global Board of Directors.

The appointment is part of a planned generational leadership transition for the privately held company. Thompson succeeds his father, Ned Thompson, who has led KMC Global since his purchase and privatization of the company in 2005. Ned began his career at the company as a design engineer in 1980 and was instrumental in guiding the company through operational and financial difficulties in the 1990’s.

Headquartered in Kalamazoo, Michigan, KMC Global employs approximately 350 people across manufacturing operations in Michigan, Texas, Minnesota and Poland. Its companies design and manufacture engineered equipment and systems for industrial applications including bulk material handling, metal scrap and fluid recycling, filtration and wastewater treatment, horizontal-motion conveying, screening and separation, vibratory conveying, and controls and automation. Its operating brands include PRAB, Hapman, Triple/S Dynamics, CDM Systems/Synergies, Ovibra, and KMC Global Europe.

Thompson’s preparation for the CEO role has intentionally crossed functions, operating companies, and geographies. His experience with KMC Global dates to 2012 and has included leadership responsibilities in employee development, recruiting, corporate development, organizational improvement, operations, and enterprise strategy.

In recent years, his responsibilities have expanded to include direct oversight of KMC Global operating businesses in the United States and Europe, major facility and capital investment initiatives, acquisition evaluation, executive leadership development and broader corporate strategy. He joined the company’s Board of Directors in January 2026 and has increasingly assumed enterprise-wide responsibility as part of the CEO succession process.

“I am grateful for Clark’s willingness to take on the challenge and responsibility of leading this company as the second generation of our family,” said Ned Thompson. “I believe he will work just as hard for the success of our employees, customers, and companies as I have over the years.  I’m excited to see where he and the KMC Global team take the business next.”

As CEO, Thompson said his priorities will center on strengthening KMC Global’s existing businesses while continuing to develop the capabilities required for long-term growth. Areas of emphasis include manufacturing and operational excellence, engineering, employee development, innovation, technology adoption and greater collaboration among KMC Global companies.

“Our responsibility is not simply to preserve what has been built. It is to keep making it better,” Thompson said. “That means investing in our people, strengthening manufacturing and engineering, adopting technology where it creates real value, and helping our companies learn from one another. If we do those things well, we will serve our customers better and create more opportunity for the people counting on this company every day.”

The transition continues KMC Global’s long-term approach to ownership and investment in its industrial businesses. Under Thompson’s leadership, the company intends to build on the manufacturing, engineering and customer relationships that have shaped its growth while continuing to improve how its operating companies compete and serve their markets.
