Cutting Waste Management Costs with Ultrafiltration

Waste management cost has continued to be a focus for manufacturers. With dollars on the rise for waste disposal, and environmental issues, companies are beginning to crack down more on ways to save money, and be environmentally sustainable.

New standards from the International Organization for Standardization, or ISO, has created the 14001 standard that “helps organizations identify, manage, monitor, and control their environmental issues in a holistic manner” (ISO 14001 Environmental Management, 2015). To be considered ISO 14001 compliant, your company would need to consider all environmental issues like air pollution, resource use and efficient, and waste management.

In the Cutting Tool Engineering June issue article, “Trim Your Waste Line”, industry expert Christopher Tate discusses the costs associated with waste management, and the importance of managing waste in the manufacturing industry.
