COVID-19 Official Statement | PRAB

Designation As Critical Infrastructure Supplier

March 23, 2020

As the Nation comes together to slow the spread of COVID-19, on March 16th, 2020 the President issued updated Coronavirus Guidance for America. This guidance states that:

“If you work in a critical infrastructure industry, as defined by the Department of Homeland Security, you have a special responsibility to maintain your normal work schedule.”

On March 19, 2020 CISA listed ESSENTIAL CRITICAL INFRASTRUCTURE WORKERS DURING COVID-19 RESPONSE to help State and Local officials as they work to protect their communities, while ensuring continuity of functions critical to public health and safety, as well as economic and national security. This list includes all critical infrastructure industries and is available at: https://www.cisa.gov/publication/guidance-essential-critical-infrastructure-workforce. The list is explicitly designed to inform critical infrastructure community decision-making to determine the sectors, subsectors, segments, or critical functions that should continue normal operations, appropriately modified to account for Centers for Disease Controls (CDC) workforce and customer protection guidance. https://www.cisa.gov/

In addition, on March 23rd, 2020 Michigan Governor Gretchen Whitmer issued a statewide stay-at-home order to help curb the spread of COVID-19. Most companies will be closed due to this executive order. However, KMC Global is recognized as a critical component in keeping our country sustained during these times and we will remain open and working at full capacity.

Even though we are open and in full production, some of our employees will be working offsite. During this time we ask for your patience and understanding as we will do everything possible to address your requests as expeditiously as possible.

If you have any questions or concerns, please reach out to your respective KMC Global company contact.
