Multi-Media Filters

Incoming feed water that is high in suspended solids can cause a pressure drop and reduce the effectiveness of downstream filtration equipment, such as RO membranes and Ion Exchange systems. Using a multi-media filter can reduce the level of these suspended solids in incoming water. Because of their multi-layer design (ordered in increasing porosity), multi-media filters are able to trap and retain a far larger number of particles before backwashing becomes necessary. The process of filtration produces high quality, filtered water at much faster flow rates than traditional filtration.
