Prab Purchases Kalcon Business
July 2000 Kalamazoo, Michigan Prab, Inc., a leading manufacturer of metal chip processing systems and conveyors, announces the purchase of the Kalcon (Kalamazoo Conveyor Co.) business from Lafourche Manufacturing Corp.
The purchase includes the Kalcon (Kalamazoo Conveyor Co.) metal chip processing product lines, consisting of push-bar conveyors, steel belt conveyors, and Heli-Flite conveyors, and all the associated tools, dies, molds, drawings, engineering prints, job files, specifications, machinery, equipment, inventory, patents, trademarks, and customer orders.
For over twenty-five years, Kalamazoo Conveyor (Kalcon) has been a respected name in the metal chip processing business. The addition of Kalcon gives Prab, which recently celebrated its 50th year in business, an expanded customer base and provides Kalcon customers with the same level of support excellence that Prab's customers enjoy.

Prab, Inc. operates two divisions, Prab Conveyors and Hapman Conveyors.
